Common mistakes
Pupils may think that if someone has been designated to a team, this means they have been included.
People can feel excluded even when they're part of a team if they are ignored or not included in the decisions being made. There are many things that you can do to help your teammates to feel included and valued in the team.
For parents, carers and teachers
- This lesson explores some abstract ideas such as 'shared goals' which can be confusing in a subject that often uses physical goals. Understanding that pupils can be working together but doing different things is also a complex concept at key stage 1.
