Words to know
- trust
- being able to rely on others
- communicating
- sharing ideas, thoughts or feelings with others
- tactics
- a carefully planned set of actions that are used by a team or an individual to achieve a certain goal
Common mistakes
Some pupils may only think about speaking in relation to communication.
Information can be communicated in lots of different ways including signals, gestures, sounds, pictures and words. Receiving, interpreting and acting on the information sent is also half the process of communication.
For parents, carers and teachers
- The games in this lesson can either be completed as timed activities or races. Repeating timed activities creates opportunities to recognise how improved cooperation and collaboration within a team can improve the performance and success of the team, regardless of the opposition.
