What you’ll learn
I can reflect and try new ideas to solve a problem and help my teammates.
Key learning points
- Move: moving in different ways can help my team to find solutions to problems.
- Think: trying different ideas and reflecting on how useful they are for the team can help us find better solutions.
- Feel: showing self-belief and trying our hardest will inspire others and lead the team to success.
- Connect: working with others can help to build trust amongst my team and find solutions to problems.
Words to know
- problem
- a difficulty, challenge or obstacle that needs a solution or answer
- solution
- a response, answer or way to overcome a difficulty, challenge or obstacle
- reflect
- to think carefully about something that has happened
Common mistakes
Some pupils might think that once a solution has been found to complete a challenge, this is the only option that should be used.
Many challenges and problems have various different solutions. One solution might suit the skills in your team and a different solution might suit another team.
For parents, carers and teachers
- Lightweight equipment such as balloons and plastic cups are required, so an indoor or sheltered space will be most suitable.
